After actor Madhavan created a spotlight for himself in Indian cinema, his son Vedaant Madhavan is following his foot steps, except in the world of sports
If actor Madhavan has created a niche for himself in Indian cinema, his 16-year-old son Vedaant Madhavan is doing it in the world of sports. For the unversed, Vedaant is an avid swimmer and a national champion at that. The youngster has not only made his father proud but also made the country proud by bagging a silver medal at the Danish Open in Copenhagen.
Vedaant is the only child of Madhavan and Saritha. This isn't the first time that Vedaant has won a medal in swimming. Last year too, the 16-year-old swimmer participated in the 47th Junior National Aquatic Championships which was held in Bangalore. In the tournament, he bagged four silver medals and three bronze medals. In March last year, Vedaant had also won a bronze at the Latvian Open Swimming Champion event.
Sharing his happiness on social media, Madhavan went on to thank Vedaant’s coach and Swimming Federation of India for all their efforts. “We are so proud,” said the actor.
