Pan-Indian star Prabhas congratulates Hombale Films for the landmark step
The South Indian film industry is currently ruling the box office with back-to-back blockbuster films that are high on content. 2022 has been a landmark year for the Kannada Film Industry as it carved a niche for itself in mainstream cinema with recent hits such as Yash starrer KGF: Chapter 2 and Rishab Shetty’s Kantara. Both the films were bankrolled by Hombale Films and blurred geographical boundaries becoming a worldwide success. The banner is now gearing up for its maiden Telugu project, Salaar starring Prabhas.
Vijay Kiragandur, the co-founder of Hombale Films recently released an official statement, regarding its future plans. The prestigious banner has announced that it is set to invest Rs. 3000 Crores in the entertainment industry, in the next 5 years. "Cinema entertainment has been there since time immemorial and it has been viewed, lived and appreciated by everyone. Whether good times or bad, it has been a huge medium of relief and joy. It has also been a strong carrier of our culture, tradition and history through which we have been showcasing our identity to the world at large," read the producer’s statement.
"As we embark into the new year, we promise to produce compelling content with an immersive experience that can have a lasting memory and can leave an indelible impression upon you. With this interest in mind, we pledge to invest Rs 3,000 crore in the coming five years for a sustainable growth in the entertainment sector.," he concluded.

‘Salaar’ star Prabhas shared the picture of the announcement, via the story section of Instagram and congratulated the producer. He wrote, "Onwards and Upwards! Big Kudos to @hombalefilms & @vkirangandur for this landmark step! (sic)“
