Blockbuster Kannada film ‘Kantara’ to be screened on Puneeth Rajkumar’s birth anniversaryActor-filmmaker Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kantara’ has already made headlines around the world with its successful run in several languages. Now the blockbuster film will be screened at the United Nations in Geneva, at Pathe Balexert on March 17, which also happens to be Puneeth Rajkumar’s birth anniversary.Rishab has reached Geneva and completed the oral statement submission. Taking to social media, the actor shared pictures and captioned them “Proud to represent ECO FAWN in submitting oral statement at UNHRC. The significance in promotion of cultural rights of forest dwellers and protection of forests in Kantara is deciphered at the international forum.”Check out his tweet here: Twitter After the screening, Rishab will address the gathering at UNHRC and will be talking about Indian Cinema's role in fostering discussions on environment, climate & conservation.About ‘Kantara’:‘Kantara’ was initially released in Kannada, however, following the release, the response was phenomenal, and eventually, it was released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam two weeks after the original.The film also stars Sapthami Gowda, Kishore Kumar, Achyuth Kumar, and Pramod Shetty, among others in pivotal roles. Made on a budget of Rs 16 crore, the film became one of the highest-grossing films of 2022, minting close to Rs 400 crore globally. Following the success of ‘Kantara’, Rishab announced that he's working on ‘Kantara 2’, which he later confirmed to be a prequel.
