'RRR' recently broke Rajinikanth starrer Muthu's 24-year-old record in JapanRecently RRR actor Jr NTR got mobbed at the Hyderabad airport when he returned from LA, after attending the 80th Golden Globes. Composed by MM Keeravani, “Naatu Naatu” starring him and Ram Charan bagged the Award for Best Original Song. Amid this, in a recent media interaction, the actor remarked that Japanese people have expressed their love for the film more than India could.Speaking to GoldDerby, the actor said, "Before we came here to see what the reaction of the West was, we were in the deep East. This movie collected 500 million Yen in Japan, it is no joke. I was there in Japan witnessing people crying. I felt they have expressed their love for RRR as audiences more than India could...We thought maybe the West talking about it in social media... we thought you know we have our Indian crowds back there, maybe someone's friend would have gone to the movie... maybe it was just one or two people, but no it was not one or two, it did not stop. It started increasing, multiplying and multiplying, and then we were like, you know what, I think it's for real (sic)." Recently Rajamouli’s epic action drama ‘RRR’ becomes the biggest Indian film in Japan; beating the 24-year-old record of Thalaiva Rajinikanth’s Muthu. For those unaware after Rajinikanth’s craze, Jr NTR is the only Indian actor to have such a massive fan following in Japan. Jr NTR’s craze in Japan started in 2013 when his film Baadshah, was released. When asked about Naatu Naatu’s historic win the actor said, “I am feeling overwhelmed, that the country has won, I am very happy, I think it's the country’s win (sic).”
