'Mili' actress reveals how she maintains her mental health amid social media negativityYoung actress Janhvi Kapoor has carved a niche for herself in the film industry. From her debut in ‘Dhadak’ to ‘Mili, the actress has essayed a variety of characters. In conversation with a leading entertainment portal, the daughter of late legendary actress Sridevi got candid and spilled the beans on social media negativity. The actress says, “When you just start getting that fame, more than appreciation and compliments, criticism can get to you. It would sometimes affect me, but now I try not to pay that much heed to negativity. I don’t try very hard on social media. You will find me posting a real photo dump just after my glam shoot pictures or a picture of a day well spent. I like to enjoy it and I want people to enjoy it as well."She also spoke about the constant media scrutiny that actors are subjected to and how she maintains her mental health. The ‘Dhadak’ actress says, “Well, that’s true. As actors, we are always in the eyes of the media and the public. And we are scrutinised not just for our films or performances but also on a personal level. This can negatively impact us and our mental health. To detox from all this and take a break, I like to travel overseas, indulge in desserts, and sometimes, even dance like no one’s watching!”On the work front, the actress has expressed that she is keen to work in South Indian movies and hopes to work with NTR in the near future and added that she is interested in actively pursuing a career in Telugu cinema. She further added, “I am more than open to it. I am really keen on doing a Tollywood Film, or any South film for that matter. The opportunity of working with NTR (Jr NTR) sir would mean so much to me. He is such a legend, but unfortunately, the offer hasn't come my way yet. I am waiting, and I am hoping for the best.”Apart from ‘Mili’, Janhvi will be next seen in the action drama ‘Bawaal’ with Varun Dhawan, and sports drama ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ alongside Rajkumar Rao.
