'Avatar' filmmaker reviews ‘RRR’, speaks about meeting RajamouliMaverick filmmaker James Cameron needs no introduction. His latest film ‘Avatar: The Way Of Water’ recently grossed over $2.179 billion worldwide, making it the highest-grossing film of 2022, and the fourth highest-grossing film of all time. His 1997 romantic drama ‘Titanic’, starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead roles, re-released worldwide and several theatres in India are also screening the film.In a recent interview, the filmmaker spoke about Rajamouli’s RRR and said, “It's really quite an accomplishment. It's an amazing film. I saw it the first time I watched it alone I didn't know what to expect I was astonished not just by the bravura of physical style and the good use of VFX but also by the storytelling. There's a classicism to the storytelling that's almost Shakespearean. The journey that you go on, especially with understanding Ram’s character who's very challenging for two-thirds of the movie, and then you finally understand what's going on in his head, and it's heartbreaking.”He further added, "I just think it's a Triumph, and I told this to Mr Rajamouli. I met him in person recently, but we didn't really get much time to talk… it was you know… it was in a kind of crowded thing… I'd love to talk to him. One more thing I said to him was you know I'm a guy from Canada and I can only imagine what watching that movie must feel like if you're Indian… absolutely with that all of that history you know behind you, and it must have been very powerful for audiences there."
