Prabhas and Shruti Haasan-starrer ‘Salaar’ will be releasing in the theatres this ChristmasAfter several delays, the most awaited film of the year Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire is finally set for a worldwide theatrical release this December. The makers have announced the new release date as December 22, 2023.Earlier in September, Hombale Films had announced about the film’s postponement as it was scheduled to release on September 28. Now, the makers have revealed a new release date and fans are hoping that this would be final. ‘Salaar’ was initially slated for a release on April 28, 2023, but it was later pushed to September 28, and now to December 22.The new release date will see a box-office clash between the Prabhas-starrer and the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Dunki’, directed by Raj Kumar Hirani, both of which are highly anticipated films in Indian cinema.Starring an ensemble cast including Prabhas, Shruti Haasan, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shriya Reddy, the first part of the gritty action drama is directed by Prashanth Neel (of KGF franchise fame) and produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films.Audiences have huge expectations on ‘Salaar’ as Prabhas didn’t deliver any major hit post the massive success of Baahubali and his films took a downward trend from Saaho to Adipurush.
