Chiranjeevi speaks about mega Box Office Clash on Sankranti Chiranjeevi’s last film Godfather clashed with King Nagarjuna’s action thriller The Ghost and undoubtedly his film was a clear box-office winner. Megastar who is highly confident about his upcoming mass entertainer Waltair Veerayya (to release on January 13) is gearing up for yet another mega clash, this time it's with Balayya. Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy is also slated to release during the auspicious occasion of Sankranti.Chiranjeevi and the ‘Waltair Veerayya’ team including Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja, music composer Devi Sri Prasad and film’s director KS Ravindra (Bobby) amongst others recently attended a press meet, wherein the ‘Godfather’ actor was asked about the box office clash with ‘Veera Simha Reddy’. The reporter further stated that 1997 Chiru’s Hitler and NBK’s Peddannayya were released on Sankranti and both films went on to become box-office hits. The actor replied, “History will repeat again. Both the films will be successful this Sankranti also. (sic).”Interestingly both the films have been bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, and have Shruti Haasan as the female lead. Apart from ‘Walatair Veerayya’ and ‘Veera Simha Reddy’, Santosh Shobhan’s Kalyanam Kamaneeyam and dubbed films including Thalapathy Vijay-Rashmika’s Vaarasudu and Ajith’s Thegimpu will also release during Sankranti.
