Today, several leading publications wrongly reported unverified news and quoted her saying, "I am not bothered as to who is in a relationship with whom. Those who do not value love will be left in tears, regardless of how many people they date. At least that girl should be happy." The reports spread like wildfire and reached the ‘Shaakuntalam’ actress, who then shared a quote attributed to her and tweeted, “I never said this!!”. This is not the first time that Samantha has been wrongly quoted. Earlier, an entertainment portal published a false report titled "Chay fans lash out at Sam's PR team" (which now stands deleted), and claimed that Samantha is planting rumours and negative stories about her ex-partner Chaitanya. The actress put out a strong message asking people who write such reports, to "grow up."Taking to social media, she addressed the misleading reports and wrote, "Rumours on girl - Must be true!! Rumours on boy - Planted by a girl!! Grow up guys.. Parties involved have clearly moved on.. you should move on too!! Concentrate on your work… on your families.. move on!!"Samantha and Chaitanya tied the knot in 2017 and parted ways in 2021.
