Suniel Shetty requests that the trend of Boycott Bollywood should be stopped in the best interests of the industryActor Suniel Shetty on Thursday in a conversation with UP CM Aditya Yoginath remarked that 99 percent of Bollywood doesn’t take drugs and rather works to entertain the audience and thus, it is important that the trending hashtag of ‘#BoycottBollywood’ should be done away with to restore the image of the film industry.“This hashtag needs to be removed. There can be a rotten apple in the basket, but all of us are not like that. Our stories and our music connect to the world and hence the stigma needs to be removed. Please convey this message to PM Narendra Modi as well,” said the Ghani actor during the interaction. The actor's comment comes as Bollywood movies face frequent boycott calls on social media. Recently, many movies including Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha had to face the boycott gang after which the film eventually failed at the box office. Even now ‘#BoycottPathaan’ and ‘#BoycottBollywoodCompletely’ is dominating social media where people are showing their anger towards Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan, targeting its latest song “Besharam Rang” over its bold content.Apart from Suniel Shetty, other celebrities including Jackie Shroff, Sonu Nigam, Boney Kapoor, and Subash Ghai, attended the meeting. Also Read: Can Suniel Shetty Match Rajinikanth’s ‘Thalaiva’ Persona?
