At the Tamil box office, trade experts remarked that ‘Varisu’ opened to solid numbers, but the collections declined with each passing day. Titled Vaarasudu in Telugu and ‘Varis’ in Hindi, the dubbed versions were released on January 14 and January 13, respectively. Trade analysts confirmed today that ‘Varisu’ has garnered Rs 100 crores (gross) at the worldwide box office. While the Telugu version contributed Rs 12 crores (gross) and Rs 6.40 crores (nett) at the end of day 2, ‘Varis’ (Hindi) earned Rs 5.4 crores (gross), with a share/nett collection of Rs 3.88 crores (nett) in its three-day theatrical run. The box office experts reckon that the Hindi version has performed decently well, considering the absence of promotions for the Hindi belt audience.Shloka Entertainments, the US distributor of the Vamshi Paidipally directorial, announced that ‘Varisu/’Vaarasudu’ raked over $1.2 Million (gross) at the North American box offices.
