'Ante Sundaraniki' director Vivek Athreya addressed about the sensitive subject on which the film is based Director Vivek Athreya is ready with his third film Ante Sundaraniki. The movie starring Nani and Nazriya Nazim in the lead roles is releasing in theatres on June 10. ‘Ante Sundaraniki’ deals with the love between a Brahmin boy Sundar and a Christian lady Leela Thomas played by Nani and Nazriya, respectively. Given the sensitive nature of the topic, director Vivek Athreya in an interaction with the media said, “Yes, it’s a sensitive point and people will feel hurt if something is not handled properly. However, our intention is not to portray anyone as greater than the other. Our objective all along was to provide the viewers with an entertaining film. Had there been any objectionable scenes in the film, the censor board wouldn’t have given us a clean ‘U’ certificate". He further added that the runtime of 2 hours and 56 minutes for the film isn’t a problem. “There are so many aspects I wanted to address in the film. At the end of it, you’ll feel that time has flown by,” said Vivek.
