Raju defines the metric for a star hero in the industryIn a recent interview given to a prominent website, Dil Raju was asked by the anchor on why he was not accommodating theatres for Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya and Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy. It is public knowledge that Dil Raju’s Vaarasudu is also releasing for Sankranthi and garnering the maximum number of theatres. The anchor asked Raju on why he could not allot a few theatres to competitor films as well. Responding to this, Raju said, “Why are you running your website? Why don’t you hand it over to your competitors?” He further elaborated, “This is a business and I don’t have such a big heart to forego my own well-being and look out for others.”This frank riposte by Raju has gone viral. The non-theatrical revenue is bogus. If you look at Vijay’s last five to six films, they all collected a minimum share of Rs 60 crore irrespective of their fate at the box-office. Clearly, the statistics speak for themselves,” said Raju.
