Earlier there were reports of Allu Arjun planning to do a pan-Indian project with the Tamil director Atlee
The latest rumour in tinsel town is that actor Allu Arjun has called off a project with Tamil director Atlee. The grapevine has it that Allu Arjun was planning a pan-Indian project with Atlee who shot to fame with his superhit films ‘Mersal’, ‘Theri’, and ‘Bigil’. Atlee is currently directing Bollywood and Kollywood superstars, Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara, in ‘Lion’ which is scheduled for a release in 2024. Needless to say, this collaboration resulted in Atlee’s stock shooting up immensely.
However, Atlee’s remuneration was deemed to be too high by Allu Arjun who reportedly called off the project. Lyca Productions had evinced interest in producing the movie and Atlee is believed to have quoted Rs 35 crore as his remuneration.
If things had gone according to plan, the project would have commenced after Allu Arjun completed ‘Pushpa: The Rise’. This leaves the field wide open for other star directors desirous of working with the 'Icon star'.
