Venkatesh Maha’s Remarks On The Yash-Starrer Causes Huge Uproar Online‘KGF’ franchise starring Yash as Rocky Bhai broke several box office records. Surpassing language barriers, the Prashanth Neel directorial put Kannada cinema on the world map. Now, filmmaker Venkatesh Maha’s indirect dig at the film has stirred up a controversy. In a recent interview with a well-known Telugu journalist Prema, the director-turned-actor spoke about the KGF franchise without revealing the name.Maha said, "I won't say the name of the movie... I have to be pragmatic to avoid unnecessary headaches... Any mother in the world would tell her son to become great, in the sense that he should earn good and be of some help to others. But I have a question... There's one movie where the mother tells that she wants something and there are a few people who make it possible for the son to get the thing... then there's another part where the son takes all the gold... there, I said it... and such a low-life dog (Neech kameen kutte) is the son that he dumps the entire thing somewhere and just gives housing for people, like a scheme, for thousands of people who worked for him. Can there be any other as low as this person? When that mother asks the son to become such a low-life and such story is made into a film, we clapped at it." The video is currently going viral on the internet. His comments have not gone down well with ‘KGF’ fans and he is receiving massive backlash on social media. The Women's Day special interview has the likes of Nandini Reddy, Indraganti, Vivek Athreya, and Shiva Nirvana being a part of the discussion. The ‘C/O Of Kancharapalem’ director further said, “If we all choose the sword over a pen, we will make bigger blockbusters than anyone else out there.” Check out the full interview here.
