Chiyaan Vikram returns to the big screen after three years with the much-awaited movie which stars Srinidhi Shetty
Chiyaan Vikram's highly-anticipated drama, 'Cobra,' has finally got a new release date. The supernatural thriller, which was earlier slated to release on August 11, will now be hitting theatres on August 31. Chiyaan is returning to the theatres after three years owing to the delays caused by the pandemic. His last film to be released in cinemas was 'Kadaram Kondan' in 2019 while his recent movie 'Mahaan' took the OTT route due to the pandemic situation.
This film is full of surprises as the ace Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan is making his film debut and playing the role of the antagonist in Cobra. Oscar-winning music director AR Rahman has composed the tunes for 'Cobra.'
The film is written and directed 'Demonte Colony' fame Ajay Gnanamuthu, and produced by SS Lalit Kumar, under the banner of 7 Screen Studio. The film has been in the making for a long time due to delays in production. The shooting of the film was finally completed in February this year. According to the reports, the project was further pushed due to some technical reasons. The suspense drama will be released simultaneously in multiple languages including Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on August 11. NV Prasad has acquired the rights to the film 'Cobra' in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The actor is leaving no stone unturned to promote his movie; a couple of weeks back, Chiyaan Vikram graced the grand audio launch of his film despite being hospitalized a few days before due to mild discomfort in the chest.
