‘Waltair Veerayya’ directed by Bobby Koli, is set against the backdrop of fishermen’s colonies in VizagChiranjeevi and Ravi Teja starrer Waltair Veerayya, has been trending for the past few weeks for its songs and teasers. The audience is eager to watch the two share the screen space almost two decades after the release of Annayya. ‘Waltair Veerayya’ directed by KS Ravindra (Bobby) is set in the Waltair region of Vizag, Andhra Pradesh. The trailer, released on January 7, gives a glimpse into the action-packed movie. The trailer opens with an introduction to ‘Veerayya’ (Chiranjeevi), who is portrayed as a force to be reckoned with. ‘Veerayya’ gets roped into a battle he did not sign up for, to protect the people of his community. ‘ACP Vikram Sagar’ (Ravi Teja) is the newly appointed ACP of the Waltair region, who immediately butts heads with ‘Veerayya’. What happens to make these two put aside their differences? Do they join forces, and why? What is the conflict that ‘Veerayya’ finds himself in the midst of? These questions will be answered when the movie releases in theatres on January 13. In addition to providing an insight into the story, the trailer revealed key cast members like Prakash Raj, who appears to have an antagonistic role in the movie. Catherine Tresa is revealed to be playing a doctor who works at a medical camp in the region. Shruti Haasan plays a hotel manager and Veerayya’s primary love interest. Along with the above mentioned, the movie will also star Rajendra Prasad, Nassar and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles.
