A police complaint was filed against actor Allu Arjun and Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions by a social activist
Following the success of 'Pushpa: The Rise', Allu Arjun became a pan-Indian actor with a subsequent rise in his brand endorsements. One such promotion has landed the icon star in trouble.
Allu Arjun had signed on as the brand ambassador for the popular ‘Sri Chaitanya’ group of institutions. On June 6, 2022, full-page advertisements of the ranks achieved by students of Sri Chaitanya in IIT-JEE and NIT and the actor endorsing the institution were published in prominent dailies.
A social activist by the name of Kotha Upender Reddy has filed a case in Amberpet police station, Hyderabad, stating that the advertisements were fake and completely misleading, and he sought action against Sri Chaitanya educational institutions and the actor Allu Arjun.
In the past, Allu Arjun had also faced some criticism for his ads for a food delivery as well as a bike transport services app.
