As per reports, budget for Allu Arjun and Sukumar's 'Pushpa: The Rule' is said to have been doubled
Pushpa: The Rise starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahaad Faasil turned out to be one of the biggest grossers in 2021. What especially surprised critics and trade pundits was the spectacular success of the film's Hindi dubbed version, given that the makers struggled with the post-production work until the last minute of the film’s release across the country.
While the Sukumar directorial is said to be made on a budget of around Rs 160 Crores, now the makers are believed to have doubled it to nearly Rs 300 Crores for the sequel. They are reportedly working towards completing the film well ahead of its release date. Most of the second part too will be shot in Maredumilli forest in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh.
Another interesting update that is yet to be confirmed is that the producers Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers are keen on retaining the Hindi rights for the sequel this time, a decision which could have been prompted by the huge anticipation for a sequel, the tremendous response garnered by the first part there and a larger market.
