His last two releases failed to meet expectations at the box office. Now, with ‘Waltair Veerayya’, Megastar returns back to his classic avatar. ‘Veerayya’ is touted as a character reminiscent of Chiranjeevi’s role in Gang Leader. The resemblance has not gone unnoticed by fans. Chiranjeevi, now admitted that the resemblance was an intentional choice made by director KS Ravindra (Bobby). Chiru continued to appreciate his dedication and uncompromising attitude.The Megastar then moved on to showering compliments on the music team. Devi Sri Prasad composed the music, while Chandra Bose wrote the lyrics for the song. Chiru talked about how the two found a way to strike a balance between mass and class.The fight masters, the people who choreograph the fight sequences who normally go unnoticed in movies, were at the forefront of Chiru’s speech. He then took the time to compliment Sekhar master for keeping Chiru’s style alive with his choreography. Lastly, he thanked the art team for the detailed sets they designed and the DOP. Chiru’s speech gives a glimpse into the production process of the movie. He talked about how each member of the team remained completely dedicated to their job and craft. Chiranjeevi remarked that their refusal to compromise on the details made the movie the masterpiece it is.
