After ‘Akkineni Thokkeneni’ remark NBK's comments on nurses stir up controversy
Balayya has once again landed in a soup. After his disrespectful comments on the late legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao, the actor, in the recent episode with Pawan Kalyan, spoke about an accident and addressed a nurse as ‘hot’. His unfiltered comments on nurses on the much-loved show ‘Unstoppable With NBK’ has irked the audience.
The Veera Simha Reddy actor spoke about an old accident and said he was warned not to tell the hospital staff about the accident because the admission would get delayed. However, he couldn’t resist telling the truth when he saw a gorgeous nurse. He reportedly said, “Aa nurse, Dhaanamma Bhale Andamga Undi (That nurse was so hot).”
The sexist remark has also hurt a section of nurses who demanded an apology from the star. Soon, NBK responded to the controversy and took to his Facebook page to pen an apology letter. The actor remarked that his words have been taken in the wrong way as he has the utmost respect for nurses.
Check out the note here:
The apology note read, “I strongly reject the baseless claims that I slandered the nursing profession. The meaning of what I said was completely changed. I hold nurses and their work in the highest esteem. At our hospital, Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital, I have personally witnessed their excellent care. My words have been twisted by a few people and noted that he never had the intention to insult nurses and their services. I regret if my words offended them.”
