She took a break from acting during her pregnancy and is now returning to the big screen opposite Malayalam star Dileep. It will also mark her debut in the language. The film is yet to be officially titled. The new mother is nervous about being away from her daughter for a long period of time, “I am on my way out of Bengaluru to Kochi, and I am feeling jittery because this is the first time I will be away from my daughter Arna for a longer time. I guess what I am feeling is normal and what we need to do as mothers, get back to work and figure out a balance between home and work is also normal." Talking about the film, and why she chose the role, Pranitha said, “The film is intense, and my role in the film reflects a similar mood. When the director narrated my role to me, he said, ‘I know you have played cute roles, but you can’t be that in this film.’ My character is in stark contrast to what I’ve played in Telugu, Tamil or even Kannada. The character I get to play is arrogant and has an attitude to match. Malayalam films are known for their rock-solid storytelling and our film too has a compelling one. I feel fortunate to finally debut here.” Check out her announcement post here: Instagram Reel
