Senior Producer and distributor of Asian Films, Narayan Das K Narang, has passed away today morning due to his illness Leading senior producer, distributor and the head of Asian Films, Narayan Das K Narang, passed away on Tuesday in Hyderabad due to his prolonged illness. The 78-year old producer had been suffering from age-related health issues from a while and was being treated at a private hospital in the city. His last rites will take place in Hyderabad on Tuesday reportedly at 4pm. Head of the Asian Multiplex Chain of theatres, Narang was also serving as the President of the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce. As an influential personality in the Telugu Film Industry, Narang made his foray into production with Shekhar Kammula’s Love Story, starring Naga Chaitanya, and Sai Pallavi, and followed by Naga Shaurya’s Lakshya, also starring Ketika Sharma. He was also bankrolling two projects in various stages of production, one of which is Akkineni Nagarjuna’s Ghost along with a Tamil-Telugu bilingual starring Dhanush in the lead.
