Oscar-winning music director is all praise for MM Keeravani
The maverick SS Rajamouli’s epic action drama RRR makes the nation proud yet again. Composed by MM Keeravani, the film’s groovy track “Naatu Naatu” starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan has been nominated for ‘Best Original Song’ at the 95th Oscar Awards.
As congratulations poured in for team ‘RRR’, two-time Academy Award-winning music composer AR Rahman too reacted to bagging nominations at the Academy Awards. During an interaction, the ace music composer extended his congratulation, saying, “If we don’t push our culture and have tremendous pride and present it to the world, the world is going to be condescending to Indian culture.”
On bagging the nominations, he said, “There are many things that connected the West. First of all Keeravani is a great composer he is underrated he was underrated. The irony of life is such, like a case study, I believe I don't know…that he wanted to quit the music industry and retire in 2015. Exactly when his career has started. For anyone who thinks that their life is over, maybe that is the point you have to start living your life. This is a great example, I keep telling my children the gentleman who was working for 35 years he wanted to quit, but then his career actually started at that point, and now it's gonna go much further. He has got the Golden Globes already, and now he is nominated for Oscars, so I feel that art is the most beautiful thing (sic)”
Speaking about winning the prestigious award, Rahman said, “I want it (RRR) to bag it…anything Indian should be ruling the world…so yes, all my love and prayers for RRR”.
