The Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri directorial ‘The Kashmir Files’ makes it to the Oscars reminder list, to compete with 301 other moviesThis morning, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) released a list of 301 feature films that are eligible for this year’s Oscars. Apart from India's official entry, Pan Nalin’s ‘Chello Show’, there are four other films that have made the cut, including the Vivek Ranjan Agnohotri directorial ‘The Kashmir Files’.Expressing his happiness, the filmmaker tweeted, “BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: #TheKashmirFiles has been shortlisted for #Oscars2023 in the first list of @TheAcademy. A great year for Indian cinema. 🙏🙏🙏”Check out the tweet here: Twitter In another tweet, he further informed the fans that the film’s cast, including Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumaar, Mithun Chakraborty, and Pallavi Joshi, are shortlisted for the ‘Best Actor’ category. ‘The Kashmir Files’, released in the theaters on March 11, 2022, broke box office records and became the first post-pandemic Hindi movie to cross the Rs 300 crore mark. The voting is scheduled to take place between January 12 - 17. The final nominations will be announced on January 24. Apart from ‘The Kashmir Files’, Ram Charan-Jr NTR’s RRR, Alia Bhatt-starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi, and Rishab Shetty’s Kantara have featured in the list of 301 films eligible for Oscars.
