Winners of the 69th National Film Awards were felicitated in New Delhi on October 17The ceremony of the 69th National Film Awards was held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on Tuesday, in the honorary presence of the President of India, Draupadi Murmu, who presented the awards to all the winners.Allu Arjun received the National Award for ‘Best Actor’ for his unparalleled performance in ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, becoming the first Telugu actor in the 69-year-old history to be conferred with the prestigious award. Filmmaker SS Rajamouli's RRR sweeped the awards in, 'Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment', ‘Best Male Playback Singer’, ‘Best Music Direction (Background Music)’, ‘Best Choreography’, and ‘Best Stunt Choreography’ categories. Music composer Devi Sri Prasad won the award for Best Music Direction (Songs)' for Pushpa, while lyricist Chandrabose won it for ‘Best Lyrics’ for the song “Dham Dham Dham” in Konda Polam and Uppena won the award for ‘Best Regional Film - Telugu’. Besides, Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon have shared the ‘Best Actress’ award for their incredible performances in Gangubai Kathiawadi and ‘Mimi’, respectively. Actor Madhavan was conferred with the National Award for his ‘Best Feature Film’ - Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, and filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri received the the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration for his film ‘The Kashmir Files’, while veteran actress Waheeda Rehman was honoured with the ‘Dadasaheb Phalke Lifetime Achievement Award’.Rakshit Shetty of Kannada industry received the ‘Best Kannada Film’ award for 777 Charlie, while ‘Kadaisi Vivasayi’ was honoured as the ‘Best Tamil Film’.
