Ajith’s ‘Tegimpu’ Box Office Predictions For A Clean Hit

This is how much ‘Tegimpu’ needs to make to be a clean hit in the Telugu States

Thala Ajith is gearing up for the release of his movie ‘Thunivu’, which is releasing in Telugu as Tegimpu. The movie will release during the Sankranti weekend and compete with some of the biggest releases of this year. ‘Tegimpu’ is a heist thriller that follows the story of Ajith’s gang as they rob a bank in the city of Chennai. Audiences caught similarities between the movie’s trailer and the popular Netflix series ‘Money Heist’. 

Trade analysts have now released estimates for how much the movie needs to make in the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, to be considered a clean hit. Here is an approximate area-wise division of the business:

Nizam: Rs 1.5 Crore

Ceeded: Rs 0.5 Crore

Andhra: Rs 1.5 Crore

Total across the Telugu states: Rs. 3.5 Crore

‘Tegimpu’ directed by H Vinoth features Manju Warrier, Samuthirakani, Veera, John Kokken, GM Sundar, and Ajay in crucial roles. Upon release, on January 11, ‘Tegimpu’ will compete with Veera Simha Reddy, Waltair Veerayya, Kalyanam Kamaneeyam, and ‘Varisu’ (Vaarasudu in Telugu).
