Considering the two-day collections of 'Major' in northern India, it looks like the film is failing to get enough footfalls despite positive reviews Adivi Sesh’s Major released on June 3 to a lot of hype and expectations. However, despite good reviews and word-of-mouth positive publicity, the movie hasn’t exactly made much noise at the Bollywood box-office. On June 3, the day of release, ‘Major’ collected a net of around Rs 1.10 Crores and on Saturday, the second day of release, there was a slight improvement in the sale of tickets, with the movie collecting a net of Rs 1.51 Crores. The two-day collections come to a net of around Rs 2.61 Crores. Naturally, Sunday is the most important day where the movie is expected to register the highest footfalls. After that, it is anybody’s guess as to how the movie is going to fare in Hindi. Prior to the movie’s release, Sesh had confidently asserted that although there were other big fish in the sea ('Vikram' and 'Samrat Prithviraj'), ‘Major’ was the gold fish. Well, it appears as if the gold fish has bowed to the big fish in Hindi at least.
