Mahesh Babu's production 'Major' will be releasing in theatres along with Kamal Haasan's 'Vikram' and Akshay Kumar's 'Prithviraj' on June 3 Adivi Sesh’s upcoming film Major, based on the life of Major Sundeep Unnikrishnan, is releasing on June 3. It will be clashing at the box-office with two other big films: Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vikram’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Prithviraj’. Commenting on this, Sesh Adivi said, “Practically speaking, ‘Major’ is the biggest film in Telugu, ‘Vikram’ is the biggest film in Tamil and ‘Prithviraj’ is the biggest film in Hindi. But, while there are big fish in the sea, we are the goldfish”. Major is based on the life of a valourous soldier Sundeep Unnikrishnan who was martyred while fighting terrorists at the Taj Hotel during the infamous 2008 attacks in Mumbai. The heroism of Sundeep was instrumental in saving the lives of many hostages on that fateful day. Saiee Manjrekar plays the female lead in the film.
