Cinematographer Karthik Palani Talks About ‘Adipurush’ And ‘Raja Deluxe’Karthik Palani is a cinematographer primarily working in the Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil film industries. He was the director of photography (DOP) for the Thalapathy Vijay starrer ‘Varisu’, which released in Telugu as Vaarasudu. The cinematographer also worked on Brand Babu, Penguin, Adipurush, and the upcoming Raja Deluxe. In a recent interview about ‘Varisu’, Karthik spilled the beans on his experience working for ‘Adipurush’ and what we can expect from Maruthi directorial ‘Raja Deluxe’. About Prabhas-Kriti Sanon's ‘Adipurush’ the DOP remarked, "Adipurush is an out-and-out blue-screen film. Only the props the actors interact with were present. We had to imagine everything else—environment and lighting—before composing a shot. Regardless of the outcome, the experience I gained from it is invaluable (sic)." He further addressed the criticism received by the trailer, “Yes, there was trolling. But improvements to the VFX are being made, and when the finished film comes out, it’ll be a much better experience from what you have seen so far.” The movie which was supposed to be out for Sankranti will now release on June 16.Speaking about his upcoming projects including Prabhas-Maruthi's ‘Raja Deluxe’, “It's a fun film. Not heavy at all. It'll be quite different from the kind of films he (Prabhas) is doing now (sic).” The movie is expected to be a horror comedy, a genre that Prabhas will be venturing for the first time.
